I know many people fall for these types of scams all the time and am hoping to help educate Internet users on scams like these. Scammers prey on people all over the Internet… On, , in blogs, but more-so in their own email inboxes. I received an email today that could easily be taken seriously if you didn’t know what to look for.
Upon clicking the email I immediately went to see who had sent the email before clicking on any links.
The email, although it says it, is not from google. Look at the email address. If it were from gmail or google it would have an @google.com email and not an @gmx.com one.
This is how people get their accounts hacked in to and the easiest way to avoid it is to simply see who actually sent it. If you’re still unsure, do a google search.
Only click on links you’re familiar with!
