These four tips are not just suggestions, but tasks I am or have done in preparation for the new year in hopes of simplifying the start to a new year Online.
- Respond to and clean out any outstanding Facebook messages, Twitter DMs, LinkedIn messages etc… Archive orcopy/ paste any of importance into a Google document titled something like “Important FB messages From 2011″. If you need to save screen shots you can post them right into the doc as well.
- Update all of your social networking profiles if necessary.
- Does your profile image REALLY look like you? If not and you meet Tweeps or Facebook peeps offline often then perhaps it’s time for a pic that does look like you.
- Clean out any accumulated spam comments on your website or blog – this is a time consuming task for me, but will be worth it once completed for all sites.

I wish I had seen this before 2012 started! Nothing like starting the New Year fresh and organized. Even though I have thousands of things to do for Q1, I am going to take out the rest of my day to clean out the trash (FB and LinkedIn messages, etc). I’m sure I’ll feel refreshed to start all over tomorrow. Thanks for sharing!
For me I will say sorry to all the people that I hurt in 2011 because I want my 2012 a new life..
