Epic Thanks Tampa Seeks Local Changemaker For November Fundraising Event

Tampa, FL – August 20, 2010 – This November 19, 2010, Epic Thanks Tampa Bay will take place as a celebration of all for which we are thankful. Having evolved from Tweetsgiving, an annual and global celebration that aimed to change the world through the power of gratitude, Epic Thanks Tampa Bay will also serve as a charity fundraising event to benefit both the Epic Change organization as well as a local changemaker in the Tampa Bay area.
Seeking A Changemaker
A changemaker is a person or group that selflessly devotes their time and available resources in order to positively impact the lives of others in their immediate community. In keeping with the mission of the Epic
Change, Epic Thanks Tampa Bay organization seeks to identify one Tampa area changemaker and amplify their voice and impact on the community.
As a volunteer organization, Epic Thanks Tampa Bay will solicit nominations for Changemakers from the Tampa Bay community. These nominations will be reviewed to ensure they meet the guidelines
and criteria set by both Epic Change and the Epic Thanks Tampa Bay planning organization. The list of submissions will result in five finalists, with the winning Changemaker determined by an online and write-
in voting process open to the general public.

About Epic Thanks Tampa Bay
Epic Thanks Tampa Bay 2010 is a grass-roots effort being organized by a diverse group of local entrepreneurs and activists who all believe in working together to bring about an “Epic Change” in Tampa Bay. All funds collected as a result of the Epic Thanks Tampa Bay event will be directed to Epic Change. Epic Change will then allocate half of the monies collected, in the form of a grant, to the designated Tampa Bay area changemaker, with the remaining funds appropriated to support Epic Change’s global efforts. As the planning process for Epic Thanks Tampa Bay continues to develop and ideas become reality, there still remain endless opportunities for both individuals and organizations to lend their support and resources and make an investment in this epic event.
