Picture 111 Facebook Fanpage Decides If You Are Beautiful Or NotWhile I was going through page suggestions on Facebook today I came across a page that was called Beautiful People Only (I refuse to link to this page). I was thinking, surely this can’t be true so I went to the page and started scrolling the wall. Men and Women that “Like” the page have their Facebook profile image displayed on the wall with the words “Kick or Keep” and then the people that have “Liked” the page decide via comments. Some of the comments are downright ridiculous and the worst part is that if you are not “Beautiful” enough for them, you are removed from the page and are not allowed to “Like” it.

What is this world coming to? Beauty isn’t only skin deep and one day the superficial idiots of the world will have wrinkles and painted on eyebrows and then they too can be booted off of that page because they are (in someone else’s eyes) flawed.

Is this how we want our youth growing up?

Please remember that no matter what the person looks like, they have feelings and a heart. Beauty comes from the inside and radiates outward!

The page is kind of funny but I think you’re right. It can be discriminating. I think these kinds of pages are some of the cons of putting a fan page feature in Facebook. Maybe we can help Facebook prevent this kind of page by reporting it? I think there’s a report button in every page…
