As you may or may not know or realize, I am on a mission to find, research and review tools, sites and products that can do one of a few things:
1. Make Social Media easier without taking away the “Social” aspect.
2. Create a new platform for Social Media.
3. Allow me to show off my Geekiness in an awesome way.
Today I am going to review MyVBO.com because this web based tool makes my Social Media experience through Twitter a whole lot easier. You see, I manage multiple Twitter accounts for clients. I may not personally be the one updating each and every account, but I am the one making sure that posts are positive, unhacked and flowing the way they should.
This is where MyVBO comes in SO handy. In most cases I would either log into each account on the web (at separate times because you can’t be logged into more than one account on the web), and update, check new followers, make sure the account is being active and so on. Now I know logging in and out of different accounts is no biggie, but the time that it takes does indeed add up. I tried using the multiple accounts function on TweetDeck and ended up sending Tweets out from the wrong account (Whooops!).
I even tried using multiple desktop applications for different client accounts. For instance Client A would be logged in through Twhirl, Client B through Seesmic, Client C on the web, Client D Hootsuite….. You get the picture, right? Yeah well this just made me absolutely CRAZY lol. All the pop ups would drive me nuts (and I love TweetDeck for my personal account for the pop up notifier).
In December, a friend of mine told me that I should check out MyVBO and I did. I admit that I fell in love with the analytics tool to begin with (you can check your web stats through MyVBO too!), but honestly was not too keen on the Twitter module and I know why, well I know a few reasons why.
* I was spoiled by TweetDeck
* At this point I only had 2 other accounts I was managing
* I didn’t give it enough time
About two months ago however, my mind was forever changed. I had indeed fallen for MyVBO in the worst way. I started taking on multiple clients and realized that this is exactly what I needed. I have yet to send a Tweet to the wrong account and the only time I have issues with my Tweets is when Twitter is messed up.
Did I mention that you are able to schedule Tweets on MyVBO too? Oh, I guess I forgot to mention that one. (hehe) I personally do not use the schedule Tweet function often as I am not fond of automated Tweets, but it does come in handy if there are certain updates you wish to make at specific times of the day.
You can also follow Keywords and Hashtags just like TweetDesk, HootSuite and Seesmic. This is all web based too so you are not constantly running an additional application on your computer.
MyVBO or My Virtual Business Office offers a ton of other amazing tools for small businesses, Virtual Assistants and people like myself that just need to simplify in order to keep their sanity. Some of the other awesome tools are:
* Quickbooks integration – You will now have quick and easy access to your Quickbooks
*Shopping Module – If you shop Online often this tool will possibly become your best friend. Enter in the name of what you are looking for and it will search the entire Interwebs and show you who has the best price. You can also run ongoing searches for the item to be notified when the price drops and so on.
* News Feed – You can get all of the top stories from over 30,000 news sources. You can Tweet those stories directly from MyVBO to share with your Tweeps and enter in your own RSS feeds that you follow.
* Search – Search your favorite Search Engines all within the MyVBO platform
There are a ton of other awesome features that MyVBO offers and I encourage you to explore them all as I can guarantee that you will be amazed at everything you will be able to do within this platform
In conclusion, MyVBO is an absolute time saver for me and many other people that I have talked to. It’s the best Twitter application I have found for managing multiple accounts and I do indeed recommend that y’all at least give it a shot.
Will you try it?
I would love to know what you think about MyVBO after you try it so please share your thoughts here!
