01 Promote Your Event With LinkedIn

LinkedIn is an awesome site that is geared for more professional content. Up until a few months ago I really just let my LinkedIn profile sit and collect virtual dust.I had feeds running to it from my blog and ping.fm, but I really didn’t log in unless I received an email that needed my attention such as adding a connection, joining a group or a topic in a group that I found interesting.

Lately I have been playing around with the “Events” feature on LinkedIn and I LOVE it! I personally have not added any events to my own profile, but have had the opportunity to add them to a clients LinkedIn account and the results are pretty good. Below are some images that will show you how you can add an event to your LinkedIn.

After you fill out all of your Event details you will be able to invite any and or all of your contacts to this event. You are only able to add 30 at a time so if you have a lot of contacts it could take some time.

Hmmmm….okay, so now you’re nudging me to clean my “virtual dust” since I really don’t do a whole lot with LinkedIn. I’ll have to take a closer look at it.

Great post Kim!

Well I would say I am not quite nudging, but nicely suggesting LOL. LinkedIn seriously used to be SO boring to me, but I think about all of the sites I am a part of today and how many I thought were the same to start. Facebook was totally one of them. I thought that there was NO hope for the site and it has now become one of my favorites lol
