I know this post sounds really BAD, but I promise I want it to be helpful to those that are trying to use Twitter and just can’t understand why no one except bots and spam will follow them back.
- You are following hundreds of people and have one post.
- I scroll down your page and you have multiple @replies to different people all the same.
- You send me an @reply thanking me for following you and I’m not!
- You think that I need to learn about white teeth or that I should look at some Brittney pictures.
- You have thousands of Tweets, but they are all one sided and no interaction with anyone else.
- You have your Tweets locked, but choose to follow me.
- You send me an auto DM after I follow you on how I should purchase your product/system or whatever.
- You do NOT speak English
- You haven’t posted a Tweet in months, but have chosen to follow me today.
This is obviously my very own opinion and I also know I am far from alone on this subject. The thing is that I love to connect, interact and communicate on the Internet. Heck, I’ve been interacting Online since the good ol’ days of AOL chat rooms (when they were cool lol)
So please, if you plan on using Twitter or wonder why your Twitter presence isn’t what you expected, take a look at these reasons and maybe they’ll help.

I started to tweet about a week ago and I am already getting fatigued…
Trying to separate the wheat from the chaff (lot of the latter) is an overwhelming task, but some tweets are worth persevering.
I have seen people with 1 tweet and 4,000 followers. How is that possible?
Honestly, I have no clue. I have been Twittering since 2007 and this account for about a year and I guess the only way I see it being possible is if I follow spammers because they’ll follow back LOL I really don’t know, but I do know that I love Twitter and have found a happy balance between using it to get the word out about my blogs etc… and having fun meeting new people. I use Tweetdeck to sort out the people I follow into categories that way I can sort the Tweets easier. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the tip. See you on Tweeter : @keepenergized
