Stepping Up To The Plate and Rockin’ 2010 With Chef Dolce Debbie

Google Buzz

I will never forget the first time I met Dolce Debbie. It involved wine, chili and a ton of laughs (thanks to her husband Barry Frangipane). It was about a month or so before Christmas and my Mom and I were working on filling orders and taking pictures of these Social Media Inspired Ornaments when @CateTV called me up and invited me to Debbie’s gathering which was literally only 5 minutes down the road from my house. I really hesitated on going. I had a lot to do, didn’t know these people and it was a Sunday afternoon and I wanted to stay in my comfy clothes and not have to get dressed up. Needless to say I did end up going and I’m so glad I did. I met so many amazing people that night and got to know Debbie beyond her Tweets.

To me Debbie is totally Rockin’ the Social Media scene. Currently Debbie and her husband Barry preparing to host a Social Media AIDS Benefit in NY, NY on 4/24/10 at The Roger Smith Hotel. By using the power of Social Media, Debbie has been able to target more individuals about this particular event.

Here is a short video about stepping up to the plate to help make a difference.

OK so a little bit about Executive Chef Debbie Frangipane.

Based in the Tampa Bay area, Debbie’s personal interests include competing in local running events, including the 2007 and 2008 Disney marathon. In addition to her work with Savory Adventures, she also participates in local food events, hosts cooking shows, and appears on FOX 13 Tampa Bay, WTSP-CBS, and the nationally syndicated Daytime TV show. Debbie has written for the Tampa Tribune, is a featured publisher for Foodbuzz.com, and has been listed as one of the top 25 chefs to follow on Twitter (by WeFollow.com)

Chef Debbie Frangipane enjoys nothing more than sharing her passion with others on her Italy trips, in her home, and on TV. As Executive Chef and Culinary Director for Savory Adventures, Debbie and her husband Barry frequently host luxury getaways to Italy’s most exclusive destinations. Her personal repertoire of culinary delights is itself a tour of Italy’s many distinct regions.

Debbie and Barry are two of the most wonderful people I have met in a very long time. When I met Debbie and Barry they opened their home and hearts. I am so happy I met the two of them.

Awww, thanks for the nice words. It has been Debbie and I who have been blessed, having met Kim, Cate, Bill, and over 50 other tweeps over the past year both at our home and at the Dolce Debbie test kitchen. Let’s not forget @TerrySimpson and @ProducerGirl who met here last year, and are now married!

Barry, words cannot express how much you and Debbie mean to so many people! It’s an honor to be able to feature Debbie on my blog and as for @TerrySimpson and @ProducerGirl, it is so awesome to not only hear stories about how Social Media has brought people together as friends but also how it has helped individuals find their soul mates. Y’all freakin’ ROCK!
