01 Social Media Tip #9 For 2010

Happy Monday everyone! I hope y’all have had a relaxing, warm and safe weekend!

Today I really want to focus on one word

“Listen”

listen Social Media Tip #9 For 2010

There are so many tools Online today that will allow you to “listen” to what others are saying about you and your Brand.

For example:

You sell shoes. Maybe you sell winter boots.   boots Social Media Tip #9 For 2010

Maybe you sell these Online or have a Website to point people to?

OK so you search the Internet with Twitter.com/search or Tweetdeck search. Maybe you run Google alerts.

You decide exactly “how” you want to initiate this task.

Why would you do this?

Don’t you want to be reaching out to relevant people?

When you find people talking, Tweeting, blogging and vlogging about something specific to or about your Brand you need to take action and comment and communicate.

Always remember that the first of those steps is to “Listen”

Kim, great post! Listening is such a foundational aspect of marketing and sales in general and it’s very important in social media – especially because the internet makes us feel a little “detached.” Love it!

Thank you so much Katie! It’s something that we all learned at such a young age, but we forget it so quickly.
