I completely agree with the fact of Tweeting your location can be handy, but I will not be using the actual Twitter version to do so. FourSquare, Gowalla and BrightKite seem to be the ones to beat in this area. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Well, I think in terms of corporate tweeting, Location feature is not really useful when it comes to Internet-only business or big Corporations. Though this feature is more about letting your friends or customers know where you are. That is how people can get more fun out of Twitter and local businesses more customers.

My verdict: it's handy

Hi Valentina and thank you so much for stopping by my Blog. I agree that it probably is not very important at the stage in the game with the other geo targeting and "tweeting" sites that are already available. I would however like to think that this is the preview of something more amazing to come from Twitter. Only time will truly tell.

Hi Kim,
Social media is something I am just beginning to include in my marketing so things like tweet location and their importance (or not) are not immediately obvious to me - my thought is "not".
What I am sure of is that I'll be a frequent visitor here.

I can totally understand. The thing with the Twitter location is that it isn't like a Foursquare where you are "checking in" to a location. I use those sites when I go out or meet people places, but once again you have to be smart on sharing your location.

I'm not sure why would anyone tweet with location. Isn't that too much info shared on public? For all the people I follow and the things I tweet, I don't think a location is necessary. What do you think?

I checked it out, but didn't actually test it. It is kind of cool, but I won't be using it because I try not to post my location everywhere.
