Many people constantly wonder who Sadie Pippita is. I have it in my Twitter profile that I am Second Life resident, Sadie Pippita (among other things). Sadie Pippita started in Second Life in 2006 simply because I, Kim Randall was curious. I did not like it at first. I was immediately put off at not knowing what to do, where to go or how to use the “game”. It didn’t take long before I began to understand Second Life, meet new people and within months began working a real job within the confines of its virtual space. Over the years I have made some good money, met some amazing people that I now call friends and have been a part of some ground breaking events. As Sadie Pippita I have organized several fashion shows – one in particular was organized with Breast Cancer Awareness in Chicago to raise money and awareness, strategized marketing campaigns for virtual merchants and worked PR and marketing for Second Life’s first Virtual Recording Artist.
Sadie Pippita took a hiatus in 2010 when the company I was working for started losing focus and not paying me for the hard work I was doing. It may seem easy to simply log into a “game” to make money, but just like any other sales or consulting gig, you have to make yourself available and Sadie Pippita could NOT be available 24 hours a day.
What’s the meaning of this post you might be asking yourself, well Sadie Pippita is making a come-back in Second Life.
