Will Facebook Dominate The Location Based Social Platform?

For me, I feel as if Facebook is pulling a Google right now. They are kinda late to the game on the whole Location Based Social Media world, however they are in fact FACEBOOK. The number one Social Platform world-wide so I suppose anything is possible. My heart is kinda rooting for Foursquare to keep their lead in this arena, but I am excited to see what Facebook Places is going to bring to the table.

What are your thoughts on Facebook launching into the world of Location Based Social Media?

Do you currently use Foursquare or Gowalla? If so which one and why?
